September Sep. October Oct. No labels. Powered by Atlassian Confluence 7. Created under the auspices of the Museo Leonardo da Vinci — Rome, Italy, and with the assistance of a number of experts in Italy, the Da Vinci — Inventions experience brings to life the genius of Leonardo as an inventor, artist, scientist, anatomist, engineer, architect, sculptor and philosopher.

These works include the first concepts of a car, bicycle, helicopter, glider, parachute, SCUBA, submarine, a forerunner to the modern military tank and an ideal city, to name a few. The exhibition succeeds in bringing science projects to life, with enough hands on cranks, levers and pulleys to keep adventurous children entertained! A high-definition recreation of The Last Supper at actual size 29 x Suitable for all ages, this amazing exhibition provides a fascinating insight into not only the mind of a genius but also into the fundamental scientific and artistic principles that he discovered.

Da Vinci — Inventions is an inspiration for the whole family. Visitors are provided with several pairs of golden mean calipers to explore these the divine proportions for themselves. The visitors we spoke with were having a lot of fun learning the concepts of the golden ratio.

Many were amazed to see where it appears in nature and how it is used in art, architecture and all types of design. It gives visitors a wonderful insight into the mind of a man who was far ahead of his time.

Da Vinci created prototypes for the helicopter, airplane, automobile, submarine, parachute and bicycle. This is often much better than the somewhat distant view they might get at an art museum.

The exhibit is self-guided, so visitors can spend as much time as they want reading the detailed explanations for each display and playing with its interactive features.
